Maintenance Technician

The mission of Cellistic is to understand human iPSC and developmental biology and harness this knowledge to develop and manufacture iPSC therapeutics that significantly improve patient outcomes. We are convinced that pluripotent stem cell technology is the key to getting better, more efficient treatments to patients faster. To achieve this mission, we are building a world-leading research facility to overcome the complexity and challenges of iPSC lineage specification. Within our Cell Therapy team in Mont-Saint-Guibert, the Technical Service Team is responsible for installing, qualifying and maintaining all laboratory (QC and R&D) and production equipment, as well as the infrastructure linked to the non-classified and classified areas.

To support the growth of our company, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team.

The selected candidate will report to the Technical Service Manager and will be supported by experienced colleagues during his/her training period, as well as afterwards.

Responsibilities

You integrate a maintenance team within the production teams, you have contacts with internal and external customers and suppliers, technical store, machine suppliers, production, etc.

You will play a key role in preventive and curative maintenance, while respecting safety standards and production procedures.

What you are going to do
  • Carry out format changes and start the equipment.

  • Maintain equipment, diagnose breakdowns and carry out repairs.
  • Participate in the improvement, repair and maintenance of machines.
  • Establish the preventive maintenance schedule in collaboration with the Team Leader.
  • Analyze incidents and identify the root cause to establish an action plan.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of equipment and processes.
  • Check the proper functioning of automatic controls at start-up and during production.
  • Report any defect or need for intervention that could affect product quality or operator safety.
  • Participate in the training of production operators for the correct use of equipment.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation or other relevant discipline or working experience. We are open to fresh graduates, willing to learn from our senior technicians.
  • BA4 certified
  • An experience within the pharmaceutical industry or any regulated sector remains a plus.
  • General understanding of equipment and control systems such as: HVAC, electrical, process systems, plumbing/piping, process and lab equipment, general maintenance, both interior and exterior
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
  • Good interaction & communication skills
  • Languages: excellent level of French and intermediate level in English (B1 level)
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, climb
